Purpose of Position
The Publisher Consultant role’s primary purpose is to provide tailor made opportunities for the advertisers which are looked after by the Account Development (SME) department. The role focuses on processing the numerous opportunities that are sent out by Affiliate Window’s publisher team and turns them into a media pack that is audience appropriate for SMEs. As the publisher consultant, you will regularly attend meetings with advertisers, advising them on how best to improve their affiliate program.
In the role you will become an expert in publisher technologies such as remarketing and retargeting as well as develop an intricate knowledge of the strategies one might employ to get the most out of the cashback and voucher code markets.
I produce aesthetically pleasing marketing collateral

I have a complete understanding of what makes a good SME opportunity
I can tailor my presentations based on an advertiser’s marketing goals
I know which factors to use when prioritising meeting requests
I can push back without causing offence
I know the majority of active publishers on the network
I know which publishers offer additional marketing exposure and at what cost
I can explain why publishers don’t all work to a traditional CPA model
I can objection handle for all publisher types
I can explain all publishers types and models in detail
I can advise an advertiser which opportunities are worth pursuing
I can take advantage of seasonality and make a difference at peak trading times
I am aware of key trends within the performance marketing industry
I understand how to work out ROI against fixed marketing costs
I can gauge what a suitable ROI will be for SME clients
I have a basic understanding of mobile marketing
I can identify the type of clients that will benefit from a lead generation campaign
I know the various providers of retargeting and remarketing activtiy
I can explain the benefit of Product Level tracking, data feed improvements, voucher code functionality and any other AW products that are useful to advertisers.
I can develop a broad range of contacts within the retailer base
I can contribute thought provoking PR pieces to industry bodies
I can create a name for myself as a useful addition to an advertiser’s support service
I will track the discussions and outcomes of the meetings I have
I will create case studies for things that go well
I will create case studies to prevent repeating mistakes that advertisers make
Education and Experience
The successful candidate will have experience in dealing with clients at a senior level, presenting, making recommends and advising on strategy. You should have experience working in an online marketing role and have a good understanding of the affiliate marketing industry as well as other online performance marketing channels. You will be highly motivated and able to work autonomously at times.
- This position is a full time post, working in our London office. The hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
