Starting with all things social media and influencer marketing; automated engagement building platform indaHash has appointed John Kalis as VP of sales at their US office.

With indaHash leveraging blockchain technology to bring together influencers, publishers and broadcasters, Kalis will be responsible for developing the company’s market in the States – coming from previous roles as director of partnerships at Activate and account executive at Undertone respectively.

Meanwhile, influencer marketing company Whalar has appointed two chief growth officers as the firm expands into the US and EMEA. C-Suite hires Mike Hondorp (US) and Luke Townsin (EMEA) join the growing company and will be in charge in expanding the business across those specific regions to attract new clients and supporting the overall company strategy.

Social media giant Facebook has announced the hire of Jesper Doub, CEO of German media giant Spiegel Online to head up its news media partnerships team that focuses on news publishers and media owners – directing partnerships for both EMEA and MENA.

At Instagram, the Facebook-owned social app is set to recruit Anna White from its internal PR team as Instagram’s director of communications Gabe Madway departs for another company later this summer.

Over in ad tech, Ingenious Technologies has appointed Dr Siamak Haschemi as the company’s CEO while it has reshuffled its executive board which sees Christian Kleinsorge as chairman of the Supervisory Board and Eugen Becker who continues as the company’s CIO.

Data integration company GeoSpock has confirmed the recruitment of Allen Dickson as COO. Dickson will lead and drive all aspects of sales, channel and strategies internationally while managing all commercial partnerships and opportunities.

Meanwhile, marketing intelligence MiQ has hired Giles Ivey as their new CEO in the UK. Ivey will oversee MiQ’s impressive growth in the country and continue to increase the business across media, analytics and technology.

Newly formed tech startup Ad-Lib has appointed Ed Lyon to the role of head of product, joining from GroupM’s digital specialist Essence.

On the media agency side, performance marketing agency Tug has recruited Trefor ‘Tom’ Thomas as CCO who will report to Tug’s founder and CEO Nick Beck. Thomas arrives from his role of CCO of loyalty agency, LIDA and marks Tug’s continuation of growth following Eoin O’Neill’s promotion to CTO.

Following a year of exceptional growth, data-driven media agency Medialab has announced a number of key appointments, most notably Stewart Easterbrook as the agency’s chairman – widely known for his previous role as CEO at Starcom MediaVest Group UK and current role as chairman at MiQ.

Marketing tech company Adaptly has confirmed the appointment of Justin Weigold as the company’s senior VP of revenue. Under his position based in New York, Weigold will be responsible for driving new business and customer growth in East Coast markets.

WPP-owned Mindshare has promoted its leadership teams with Ruth Zohrer (chief product officer) and Alan Weetch (chief of planning operations) going up the ranks respectively.

Zohrer will be in charge of driving Mindshare’s digital transformation across the UK, integrating its offering across media buying, data and tech services, e-commerce and digital analytics.

Weetch meanwhile will be tasked with leading the agency’s planning department, driving both innovation and creativity in the team.

Pepper.com, the world’s leading shopping community that includes HotUKDeals in the UK has recruited Soenke Kisker as CFO. Kisker joins from his previously held senior role at trivago, playing a key role in the execution of trivago’s initial public offering on NASDAQ in 2016.

Digital solutions platform HighWire has appointed Ruth Hall as senior director of global marketing. Hall previously held senior positions with the AAAS, Nature, and the IET, and before HighWire worked with another SaaS solution provider, in the identity verification space.

Lastly, global media tech firm Oath has appointed Anna Walkins as UK MD and country commercial director. Coming from her most recent role of global CEO & director for Mofilm, Watkins will be in charge of promoting Oath’s advertising solutions to both brands and agencies and driving the continued commercial success for Oath’s leading media brands, platforms and partnerships.
