Miami-based performance marketing agency M8 has been acquired by the Dentsu Aegis Network; financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The agency, which provides digital advertising services – including strategy, creative development, media distribution and data analytics – will now become part of the global performance marketing agency iProspect as the company looks to boost regional growth.

“For Dentsu Aegis Network, adding M8 to the iProspect family vastly expands our performance marketing capabilities and expert talent to reach multicultural audiences in the US, as well as Latin America,” said Dentsu Aegis Network Latin America CEO Claudia Colaferro.

“M8 is without a doubt one of the best independent creative and performance marketing agencies in Miami, and positions us to better address the increasing business challenges our clients face by providing a convergence of solutions.”

John Santiago, CEO of M8, will continue to serve as the agency’s leader following the acquisition.

“Best-in-class” technology

The latest merge aims to bolster iProspect’s strategy to deliver data-driven marketing strategies to clients, such as measuring performance in real-time and “best-in-class” technology to inform planning and increase ROI – with the goal to innovate businesses and build on brands across the States and Latin America – according to iProspect’s Latin America president Philippe Seignol.

“For some time, we have wanted to have a presence in Miami, serving Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market,” commented Seignol; “I believe we have found the perfect team, who share our vision and passion for great creative marketing and digital performance solution.”

Santiago added that the partnership will add “tremendous value” to clients and the business internally, allowing them to stay ahead of the game while providing sound expertise and global footprint.

The move to acquire M8 follows Dentsu’s recent acquisition of San Francisco-based agency Character as they continue efforts to expand operations stateside.
