Affilinet UK’s managing director, Peter Rowe, has stepped down following the performance marketing network’s merger with Awin.

Rowe, who joined just prior to the announcement in July earlier this year, has overseen the initial steps of integration with Europe’s largest network. The position will now be inherited by Awin UK country manager, Ian Charlesworth.

Prior to rejoining affilinet, having held the same position six years ago, Rowe held a string of senior positions at customer service technology company A Spokesman Said, Purus Digital, Money Gap Group and MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, where he was COO.

Awin CEO Mark Walters commended Rowe’s “stable and expert guidance” during a “busy period of change” for affilinet UK.

Charlesworth in charge

Assuming oversight of both networks, Charlesworth is now tasked with developing a strategy for migrating affilinet’s clients and operations in the UK over to Awin in a “seamless and beneficial fashion”.

Awin appointed Charlesworth in January this year, replacing long-serving country manager, Anthony Clements, favouring the former Ovum IT MD’s “data-led” approach to help steer the network’s imminent global ambitions.

“It’s a really exciting time for everyone here at affilinet UK, as we merge with Awin and continue to develop strong relationships with each other and our clients, and power more connections on a global basis,” Charlesworth commented.

“Looking ahead, affilinet UK is now preparing to move all staff over to the Awin office by the end of the year in order to prepare for client migrations during 2018.”
