Affiliate Window Appoints Ian Charlesworth as UK Country Manager


Affiliate Window has appointed a new UK country manager following the departure of Anthony Clements in December 2016.

Ian Charlesworth has been appointed to the position from the researching and consulting firm Ovum IT, where he served as managing director following ten years at the company.

In a press-issued statement, Affiliate Window said Charlesworth’s experience and “data-led” approach to management would steer the affiliate network into its next phase of development to a “fully international entity”.

Alongside the announcement, Affiliate Window has also appointed Rosalyn Berrisford as client services director - taking over from Nick Caulfield - rejoining the network having spent three years as head of affiliate planning with agency Omnicom Media.

Aside from Clements', today’s announcement follows a number of departures from the network at the end of 2016, including Anjulie Truong, formerly operations director, and Caulfield, who left the company to join Expedia.

Commenting on the hire, Adam Ross, COO of the zanox Group, said: “We are excited about the insight, opportunities and fresh perspective our new management team will bring.

“Ian stood out from a strong shortlist of high calibre applicants. With data so critical to everything we do, Ian’s background and approach is ideal.”

Clements leaves

On Clements’ departure, Affiliate Window commented that the former UK country manager had helped steer the company from a “small business to the UK’s largest affiliate marketing network” during his ten-year tenure at the business.

Clements, a well-known and influential figure within the affiliate marketing industry, moved into the UK country manager role in September 2014, driving Affiliate Window towards disruptive, first-to-market technologies.

These include developments into cross-device tracking and 'payment on influence', which in addition to claiming Affiliate Window a number of accolades for network innovation, can be attributed to the development of the UK industry as a whole, with a number of other competitors rolling out similar products.

Charlesworth himself spoke of his delight in joining Affiliate Window, calling it at an “exciting time” for the company’s development; “I am particularly looking forward to working with the local and global management teams in order to drive home Affiliate Window’s market advantage,” he said.
