As the year’s developments continue to unravel, we thought it’d be a great idea to introduce to you the team behind PerformanceIN as we gear up for an exciting few months ahead in performance marketing.
This month, we like to welcome senior conference producer Kate McGregor, who has just joined the PerformanceIN family and will be curating the agenda for our events PI LIVE Advanced, PI LIVE and Influencer Marketing Show.
Find out more about our latest recruit below.
What excites you about joining PerformanceIN as senior conference producer?
Kate McGregor: I am really excited to get my teeth into such an exciting and growing industry. The enthusiasm I have already experienced from our partners and prospective speakers is amazing. It feels great to be a small part of an industry that is working together to grow and to be the best it can be for its consumers.
What drew you to performance marketing? Any key trends that stand out for you?
KM: So far, I have really been drawn to the Incrementality and Attribution topics. I am interested, in addition, in the technology platforms that are driving the industry forward! I am looking forward to carrying on learning and hopefully becoming some semblance of a Performance Marketing aficionado.
What will be your main focus for the first quarter of 2020?
KM: I am currently trying to get a good grasp of the industry, speaking to as many industry experts as possible, and curating the agenda for PI LIVE Advanced & the Influencer Marketing Show which will be taking place in New York on the 19th & 20th May.
You’ll be heavily involved with the content agenda for PI LIVE and the Influencer Marketing Show. What are you most looking forward to about these two events?
KM: I love it when all the hard work of a whole team comes together to create something amazing. This is what I am really looking forward to, not to mention meeting all of my prospective speakers and other members of the community.
Outside of PerformanceIN, what are your hobbies and interests?
KM: When I am not cooking (and eating!) I love to exercise, a spot of yoga, horse-riding, and just generally spending time with family and friends!
Are there any particular books you’re reading at the moment? What’s caught your eye?
KM: I have really had my hands full getting through the most recent AWIN report, but in my free time I am reading the Salt Path by Raynor Winn (would recommend).
Three words that best describe you?
KM: I think it’s always hard to describe yourself, but if I had to, I would say Committed, Curious & Enthusiastic.
Lastly, with 2020 in full swing, what are you most looking forward to in the coming months?
KM: I am really looking forward to successfully creating my first full agenda for PI LIVE and IMS 2020, getting my head around the subject area, and becoming familiar with the key players. The lighter evenings and hotter weather can’t come quick enough either!
