The Performance Marketing Awards returns for its 12th annual ceremony next year and entries are now open for the performance marketing campaigns that dazzled in 2017.

The industry’s most coveted award show will arrive on April 24 courtesy of headline sponsor Impact Radius, once again pitting the industry’s best against each other in the majestic Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane.

“Performance marketing is at the very heart of our business and as the leading enterprise platform partnering with global brands and leading agencies that are recipients of these prestigious awards, it’s a wonderful synergy for us to sponsor this event,” commented Mark Wrighton, VP EMEA of Impact Radius.

In keeping with the fast pace of performance marketing – and in response to audience feedback and recommendation of the PerformanceIN advisory board – Awards categories have been reimagined to cater for both the core principles of performance marketing and emerging new trends.

Automation era

“On top of last year’s welcomed changes we bring in new categories that endeavour to reward great teams that act as success enablers for their partners,” commented PerformanceIN founder and director, Matthew Wood.

“That includes a new category for Automation and AI, Attribution Solutions, and an Industry Disruptor award for a company or product that challenges the status quo with a process, strategy or technology.”

For the first time, the PMAs will also feature a category recognising the Best Advertiser Development Team and Best Account Management Team.

With a number of new category additions, revisions, and omissions, there is now a total of 29 Award categories open for competition.

PMA stalwarts

The ever-popular channel awards return to recognise leaders with their respective specialisms, with categories recognising best campaigns across lead generation, affiliate, influencer, paid social, content and more.

Meanwhile, companies can tout their most innovative campaigns for Technology & Telecom, Finance, Retail and Travel & Leisure in the vertical awards. Another category to keep an eye on will be the opening of nominations for the peer-recommended Rising Star category in November.

The judges

The Performance Marketing Judging panel will be made up of seasoned digital experts, handpicked from some of the digital industry’s biggest players. The class of 2017 included representatives from Carlsberg, Forward2D, IntuDigital, IAB UK, Trinity Mirror Solutions, TUI Group, and more.

This team will be tasked with using their extensive knowledge of performance marketing to carefully scrutinise every single entry over the coming months, with the goal of producing a shortlist of candidates for each award category, to be announced on February 28, 2018.

We’re currently recruiting a whole new judging panel for next year’s ceremony; if you would like to put yourself or a colleague forward for a role on our esteemed panel, please email PMA events manager, Kizzy McAuley. Find out what’s required here.
