Movers and Shakers: May 2014

Time again to focus on the latest career shifts in performance marketing, as we run through our May release of ‘Movers and Shakers’.

Sedo Holding and affilinet announced that, after three years in the role, Dorothea von Wichert-Nick would be stepping down from her position as CEO.

The leadership change is reported to have been a ‘mutual agreement’ between Wichert-Nick and United Internet, which owns both affilinet and Sedo Holding A, of which the former-CEO is a board member. United Internet will be assuming Wichert-Nick’s responsibilities at this moment in time.

Simon Bird, general manager of affiliate marketing network Savoo, spoke on her departure; "It's really disappointing to see Dorothea von Wichert-Nick leave Affilinet. Dorothea from my perspective was one of the most commercial, visionary CEO's in our industry and will be missed. Outside of her professionalism, I always found her to be extremely friendly and personable. I wish her best for her next role."

Data Marketing

The Data Agency has appointed prominent data expert Jon Cano-Lopez as CEO. Cano-Lopez brings with him over 25 years experience in data-marketing from which to lead the company’s data solutions forward.

One man happy with the arrival of Cano-Lopez was The Data Agency founder, Mark Roy, who shared the experience that made his new CEO most suited to the role.

“Having spent 20 years at the forefront of the industry’s leading companies, Jon needs little introduction from me," Rot said, "Suffice to say that his knowledge, vision and experience in data processing, acquisition and analysis will enable The Data Agency to deliver even better propositions to both our existing and future clients."

"Having led our field for nearly two decades, I am extremely excited to see where the next few years will take us with Jon at my side”.

It would appear to have been a quiet month, but please do let us know if we have missed anyone off by leaving a comment below. Be sure to return next time: June may have only just begun, but next month’s ‘Movers and Shakers’ is already shaping up to be an eventful one.
