Online marketing tech provider Performance Horizon Group has today announced the opening of two new US offices, as well as the appointment of two new industry veterans.

Ex-Google Affiliate Network (GAN) employee, Jim Robinson, has joined the 2010-founded company and will head up its new Chicago office. Acting as vice president of sales, North America. Robinson will be responsible for building an enterprise sales force.

Robinson was most recently head of sales and operations for Google’s now defunct, affiliate network, where he oversaw new advertiser sales and account management teams. PHG said he has extensive experience in selling and supporting marketing technology solutions to Fortune 500 customers.

“Having worked for one of the largest companies in the performance marketing space, it was very easy for me to understand the enormous value that PHG’s SaaS performance marketing platform brings to major brands and other enterprises looking to optimise their online partner networks,” Robinson said.

Third US office

PHG, which has offices in Newcastle, New York, London and Sydney, operates a platform that enables large brands and other consumer-facing enterprises to manage all of their online performance marketing partnerships – incorporating real-time data capture and optimisation, settlement in virtually all currencies around the world, and more.

Erik Hom also joins PHG as vice president of business development and will head up the company’s new San Francisco office.

Hom, who has more than 17 years of experience in online partner referral marketing, both as an affiliate and merchant, is tasked with developing partnerships which leverage the PHG platform.

Most recently, Hom was senior director of business development for WizeCommerce (Nextag), where he was responsible for partnerships, the affiliate programme, and new business development.

Hom has previously developed performance-marketing platforms and consulted for startups such as Reel.com, as well as large traditional brands such as Ticketmaster, Williams-Sonoma and Gap.

Rapid expansion

CEO of PHG, Malcolm Cowley, who was also the co-founder of the buy.at affiliate network, (which was subsequently sold to AOL before eventually becoming the zanox-owned Affiliate Window), said the two new veterans, and offices, were mandatory in order to further drive the company’s rapid expansion.

“Jim and Erik join the PHG team at a time of accelerated growth, driven by strong customer demand and a transformation in how enterprises manage their online performance marketing partnerships,” Cowley said.

“They both bring with them a wealth of market knowledge and operating experience that will prove invaluable to our customers as we help them exceed their online performance marketing goals.”
