Mediaocean recently joined forces with Econsultancy to hold an exclusive preview of a joint report on Managing Media Convergence

Digital marketing hub Econsultancy, and Mediaocean, a software provider for the advertising industry, hosted the event at The Hospital Club – a private members’ club and creative arts venue.

The event began with welcome drinks before Mediaocean’s SVP global marketing, Maria Pousa, kicked things off.

The report, which explores the ever evolving media landscape and the significant challenges presented to marketers in both global and local markets, is based on a survey of 124 agencies and a series of in-depth interviews with a range of CEOs, CMOs and MDs across the digital sector.

It was written by experienced business and marketing journalist Morag Cuddeford-Jones – who took attendees through the findings.

The report, which makes best practice recommendations for marketers and agencies, also provides predictions of how the customer journey is expected to evolve. The development of future-friendly campaign structures is also addressed, in addition to cost efficiencies.

A panel discussion on media convergence and data was also held, featuring the CEO of  MEC UK, Stuart Bowden; the CMO at, Nigel Pocklington;  head of digital at Ogilvy UK, Mark Lainas; and digital revenue strategy controller at BSkyB, Hitesh Bhatt.

The report preview wrapped up with cocktails and networking.
