Performance marketing network affilinet hosted its annual Christmas party on Wednesday in the lavish surroundings of Soho in London’s West End.

Close to 100 industry professionals flocked to Central and Co. for an evening of celebration, fuelled by a champagne reception and fine cuisine.

Affilinet’s Christmas ‘do’ is one of the earliest events to slip into PerformanceIN’s December plans, but it didn’t take long for guests to embrace the festive spirit as a glass of Prosecco on entry set the tone for a relaxed yet atmospheric evening.

Attendees were treated to beer and wine from the complimentary bar while the service team went about padding the stomachs with hearty food. Slow-cooked beef rump with curly kale and sweet potato was a PI favourite, although guests that sampled the pumpkin, spinach and feta risotto and beer-battered coley and chips may have disagreed.

Away from the party essentials, representatives from advertisers, agencies and publishers went about their business as usual – networking with new faces and catching up with industry friends of old.

Helen Southgate, UK MD of affilinet, said the party capped off a triumphant year for the company. December also marks a significant date for Southgate, who moved over to the network from BSkyB in April 2013.

“It’s been my first full year at affilinet, there have been a lot of positive changes over the last 12 months and it has been a great year for the team and business,” she told PerformanceIN.

“It was nice to be able to celebrate that last night with our valued partners in a great venue.”
