Not content with being a comparison site for switching broadband, phone and TV services, Broadbandchoices.co.uk has now made its foray into the mobile comparison world.

The free 2005-founded service, which features brands such as BT, AOL, Sky and the Post Office, has acquired RightMobilePhone – for an undisclosed amount.

London-headquartered Broadbandchoices will launch its new mobile arm this spring, and RightMobilePhone’s founders, Neil McHugh and James Zielinski, will also move over.

Managing director at broadbandchoices.co.uk, Michael Phillips, said mobile was the ‘missing piece of the puzzle’ for the business.

“The mobile phone market represents a huge opportunity for us and we are confident that our brand campaign will give us the edge in a competitive industry,” Phillips said.

The 2006-founded mobile comparison company allows visitors to search for and find mobile deals based on handset, network, monthly usage, internet allowance, free gifts, cashback and more.

RightMobilePhone’s current site, which has a policy of no advertising on its platform, also features the latest mobile news.

“It was important to bring the right partner on board and Rightmobilephone’s technology is a natural fit for our business, and will let us rapidly launch and further develop mobile comparison services for our customers both in the UK and abroad,” Phillips added.

“I am relishing the opportunity to grow this part of the company over 2014 and look forward to the launch of our new mobile phone comparison service this spring.”
