Account Moves & Wins: March/April 2019

Welcome to our new monthly round-up series, Account Moves & Wins, where we collate the latest account moves and client wins for networks and tech platforms within the affiliate and performance marketing industry.

Why are we doing this? The idea is to showcase the important client wins for affiliate networks and SaaS/tech platforms within the industry, the reasons for the partnership and next steps for everyone involved.

Global affiliate network CJ Affiliate has confirmed a number of key wins and moves to the platform in Europe and Asia. In the UK, Virgin Atlantic moved to CJ from Rakuten Marketing after closely following the success of Virgin Holidays, who launched with CJ in 2018.

In China, Dell – new to affiliate in the region – has made the decision to leverage CJ’s APAC reach in order to enhance their consumer-facing proposition.

Across Europe, Disney Holidays will soon launch as a Pan-European programme on CJ, having previously run as a UK-only programme with Awin. The decision follows the successful wins of shopDisney from TradeDoubler, and Disney Holidays UK in 2018.

Lastly, fashion giant The Kooples – also new to affiliate – chose CJ Affiliate as the only network offering a premium level of service in every EU Market. This Pan-European deal sees CJ strengthen its position as a European retail expert.

Elsewhere, Tradedoubler has been involved with some competitive pitches, resulting in some crucial wins for the business. The network confirmed The Perfume Shop on their roster, supporting them on innovation, expertise and global presence, having previously been with Awin. Meanwhile, UK travel brand Thomas Cook has returned to Tradedoubler from affilinet whilst another brand previously with Awin, Superdrug has now migrated across following Tradedoubler’s exceptional account management.

New to the industry and online as well, gym brand Digme has joined Tradedoubler having achieved record sales on the network and as well as working with a range of publishers including tech providers. Lastly, having recently gone live with Tradedoubler, Loco2 was recommended to the network based on their travel expertise and ability to hit objectives, resulting in a huge uplift in traffic and revenue.

Supporting retailers in the online e-commerce space, Visualsoft Affiliates has seen success across their roster of clients during the Q1 period, launching a number of programmes and securing new publisher accounts including Shuperb (Shuperb are authorised stockists of Skechers, Birkenstock, Crocs, UGG, Barbour and more), Michael Stewart (Stocking brands such as Paul & Shark, Hugo Boss, Gant and more) and Designer Desirables (specialising in glamorous designer labels for women), continuing the network’s busy and exciting start to the year.

That’s it for this month! If you would like to take part in our next Account Moves & Wins, send us a short synopsis (200 words) of your recent client moves/wins of the month, reasons for the partnership, details of the incumbent network or platform to content@performancein.com.
