Voucher Code Site Leads the Way With Major Global Expansion

Global expansion, more staff and a new headquarters are all on the agenda for mobile coupon provider vouchercloud.com.

The Bristol-based voucher codes and discount site, which is majority owned by mobile phone giant Vodafone, has an almighty phase of expansion planned over the next few months.

Not being content with entering into the US and Canada this year and reaching more than four million app downloads in the UK, the business has also just ‘soft launched’ in Australia, New Zealand and India, ahead of its official launch in the Czech Republic next month.

Following its entry into the Czech Republic, next on the hit list is Brazil and then South Africa – both hopefully by the start of 2014.

More Ahead

Head of affiliates at vouchercloud, Ami Spencer, said: “Vouchercloud has had a fantastic past 12 months where we have seen exceptional growth – we’ve now hit over four million app downloads in the UK alone.

“All international territories are performing well and we are pleased with the progress we have made. We’ve got an exciting few months ahead including further expansion, new product launches and getting ready for the Christmas shopping season.”

The fast sprawling business, which has new account managers for each region, based in the UK, said it so far only has plans to launch the mobile app in South Africa. Vouchercloud apps are currently available in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Ireland and Malta.

Vouchercloud, which was founded in 2010 and also has an office in Amsterdam, has other online only sites in France, Poland, Italy, US, Canada – and as mentioned, now Australia and New Zealand.

Spencer did stress that while individual country apps may not have been launched in all areas, the app will work across all territories with apps, once location settings have been adjusted. Content will just be listed in the local language.

Top Brands Secured Down Under

The new down under site, voucher-cloud.com.au, has already managed to secure one of the nation’s top fashion sites, The Iconic, along with SurfStitch, a popular Australian surf and fashion brand.

Likewise, vouchercloud.co.nz features top Kiwi brand, Hallenstein Brothers. The menswear fashion label is part of the New Zealand Exchange-listed Hallenstein Glasson Holdings group.

While its fan base in Australia and New Zealand may only be small now; given the sites have only just launched, the southern hemisphere regions are tipped to be highly fruitful as increasingly click-happy consumers venture further and further into online retail.

Due to the growing business and an increase in staff, vouchercloud is also set to move to a new, larger Bristol headquarters later this year.
