Best Social Acquisition Strategy

Sponsored by Performance Marketing Agency R.O.EYE, this award category is for those who have utilised social platforms to create a successful individual channel acquisition strategy.

Formerly titled ‘Best Use of Social Media’, last year’s award was handed to Sainsbury’s customer reward scheme, Nectar, who won over the judges with its ‘Megapoints Treasure Hunt’ online competition, designed to promote the Nectar coalition campaign.

Nectar cardholders were invited to take part in the competition via the Nectar website or Facebook page and given a series of clues hidden on Nectar partner sites, with a selection of prizes donated by partners. The competition proved to be an innovative way of increasing brand awareness via social media.

In order to impress our judges this year, entries must include evidence of clear and concise campaigns which have driven users and/or significant revenues for commercial gain, leading to increased performance. This could be an individual product push, a smart user generation campaign or a targeted brand operation.
