Diversity within our judging panels is something we’re extremely passionate about. But it’s a challenge. And we need your help.

‘Last year, on reflection, our panel for the Performance Marketing Awards wasn’t quite where we wanted it to be in terms of industry representation and we want to change that.’ Harri Edwards, Awards Manager.

Our aim is to give as many voices, i.e. gender, ethnicity, LGBTQ+, different ages/seniority, educational background and people with disabilities a chance to determine the results of this industry-leading event.

Unlike other award programmes, we don’t request heaps of experience. We believe that those working in the trenches with relevant experience have as much right to judge as those with 20 years.

The panel needs new-blood and opinions to challenge peers. Each category is assigned a minimum of six judges therefore diversity on all fronts is key within each. That makes the judging day a lot more exciting!

Nominate Your Hero

As per previous years we are now accepting applications and nominations for our panel.

Judges must be determined to champion the latest success stories, be an advocate of upcoming talent, and look to reward the most exceptional, best in class work and strategy in the industry.

If you are as passionate as we are about ensuring a diverse panel of judges, it would be greatly appreciated if you could nominate the individuals you think could make a difference.

With our two-stage judging process, judges will be scoring campaigns on the planning, innovation, creativity, execution and results they achieved using our comprehensive criteria, followed by an online judging day with your peers.

Judging any awards is an incredibly valuable experience and we encourage you to apply.

Emily Mouquot, Customer and Growth Director at notonthehighstreet and one of our 2020 judges, said: “It’s always great to participate as a judge to the PMAs. There are always some fantastic entries, and as a judge, it really offers a view on how brands are challenging themselves across the business and how they’re measuring their success. It is another way to stay in touch with innovation throughout our industry and disciplines.”

The deadline for submissions is Thursday 18th February and prospective judges must be able to attend the online judging day on Wednesday 9th May 2021.
