An innovator, best friend and loving husband; Zak Edwards was a much loved personality within the affiliate channel, constantly advocating for affiliates to be treated fairly as the industry evolved over the years.
Edwards founded Prezzybox in January 2000 with significant sales attributed towards the channel. The company grew from strength to strength over two decades, starting online before bucking the trend and opening a bricks and mortar store earlier this year.
Prezzybox have a motto, “creating moments of happiness by delivering the extraordinary.” something that could be said of Zak himself.
For his early work in the channel Edwards won numerous awards in his stature, having a firm grip in building affiliate partnerships. For instance, the 2008 A4U Awards, Edwards picked up two trophies that night: Best Use of Creative and Best Merchant Innovation, as well as a runner-up for Best Affiliate Manager.
As described by peers within the industry, Edwards laid the groundwork when it came to innovation, partnership building or leading new opportunities in the affiliate channel. He was always happy to give something a go, try something different and embrace the new opportunities and challenges that came along.
A true leader of the channel and a wonderful human being. Our love and condolences to Zak Edwards family and friends during this difficult time.
You always knew if you were lucky enough to be at an event with Zak, as the mood would change for the better! Thoroughly entertaining, yet caring and completely selfless. His early work when the industry was so embryonic inspired us all, and helped shape the industry we have today.
I’m sure I speak for many when I say that we’ll miss you terribly, and I look forward to raising a toast to your life and achievements with your industry friends and peers, who admired and respected you deeply when we all meet again for our awards in London.Matthew Wood, PerformanceIN
