Following the recent announcement of its company rebrand, Rakuten Advertising has unveiled a newly created role within the business. Stuart McLennan has been appointed the position of senior vice president of APAC, responsible for leading the company in the Asia-Pacific region including Australia and New Zealand. The role is part of the international leadership team, reporting into managing director of international, Anthony Capano.

Meanwhile, Adform announced its new CEO, Troels Philip Jensen, who joins from his previous role as COO for Swedish based software giant Itiviti. Jensen replaces Adform’s co-founder and CEO Gustav Melletin, who will remain in an active role focused on continuing to shape the company’s strategic work. Troels Jensen, in his role as CEO, will lead Adform’s employees across 29 offices in 26 countries.

Independent digital experience agency, Rufus Leonard, has hired Kate Taylor as managing partner. Kate, formally client services director at Zone, will report to Ale Cabra, board client services director.

Global digital marketing agency Croud has recruited Richard Holmes, former CFO and Group CEO at, to the role of chief financial officer. This is a new senior role for the business following Croud’s £30m investment deal with LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, in November 2019.

Elsewhere, global ad tech firm Amobee has announced the appointment of Jack Bamberger as chief commercial officer.

Stateside, global retail and innovation agency Outform has boosted its senior leadership team with the appointment of ex-Best Buy heavyweight Chris Brandewie, as vice president of strategy and design.

Impact has announced the appointment of seven new members to its finance, business development, agency and enterprise sales teams as it further expands within the EMEA market. Daisy-Blue Tinne, Chloe Bojanowski, Scott Hawkins, Priya Fatania, Diogo Ambrosio, Ana Santos and Francisco Bento are the most recent additions to the Impact EMEA team which has seen significant growth throughout the business.

Meanwhile, IAB UK has appointed its first Head of Ad Tech in a move that strengthens its ability to support the ad tech sector, understand key developments and address current challenges. Starting immediately, Tina Lakhani, IAB UK’s current ad tech manager, takes on the newly created role. It will see her formulate and communicate the IAB’s position on key ad tech issues, be an expert resource for its members and become a voice for the sector at an industry-wide level.

Affectv has recruited Daniel Harrison to the role of general manager of US Sales. Daniel begins the role with immediate effect to drive forward the North American business.

Eu-Gene Sung has been appointed as chief financial officer at Integral Ad Science. In her new role, Sung will report directly to the CEO, Lisa Utzschneider, and will lead the organisation in setting financial strategies to drive business outcomes and growth.

Having served as client services manager for The Groupon Reach Network/vouchercloud for the last four years, Jessica Brown has moved to the new role of agency partner at Awin. In this newly formed role within the client partnerships team, Brown will be responsible for developing a dedicated agency strategy across the Awin network while building out key relationships within the performance marketing channel.

CJ Affiliate welcomed Kate Knight, formerly of Groupon, as UK director of publisher development. Having recently been pivotal to the development of the UK industries ‘Publisher Board’, Kate brings over 7 years of industry experience and relationships and plans to revitalise perceptions of networks across the industry.

Lastly, having worked at WPP agency for 41 years, holding the worldwide CEO position for the last five, Ogilvy Worldwide CEO John Seifert will step down from his role in a memo sent to all employees as the global seeks a successor.
