With businesses around the world moving forward, it’s great to see the continued support of partners and clients coming together to deliver excellent results and campaigns. Not only that, but the industry also continues to deliver fresh ideas and innovation to the table to further progress the performance marketing channel. That’s why we’re extremely proud to announce the 2020 International Performance Marketing Awards (IPMAs).
The ceremony will take place the night before PI LIVE on October 26, this time at an all-new venue, The Landmark Hotel, London to celebrate the industry’s biggest global success stories.
With this year’s IPMAs, it’s more important than ever to celebrate the individuals who demonstrate the talent, expertise and determination to push the industry forward. We’re talking about the people who support their clients and colleagues and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of performance marketing.
New awards up for grabs
With a total of 30 categories, including six brand new ones: Best Partnership, Best Incentive Partner Campaign or Strategy, Most Effective Direct to Consumer Campaign or Strategy, Best Integrated Performance Marketing Campaign, Best Use of Attribution and Best Programme Launch or Relaunch — now is the time to put your team and clients forward for all their hard work.

New entry process – digital applications
We’re excited to announce that we’ve revamped the entry process for this year’s awards. The entry process will now take place entirely online and you will not be required to complete a template or submit a PDF entry. When entries open later in the year, all entries will need to be completed online.
In addition, we’ve revamped how you upload your supporting evidence. We’ve made it more flexible for you to showcase your key stats and research through imagery, graphics and URL links and video. This means you can showcase as much creative flair as possible all in one PDF page.
You’ll also be able to update your entries even after you’ve submitted them (prior to the price increase) — so you don’t need to worry about your client sending an update at the 11th hour after you’ve already submitted the application.

Top tips for successful entries
The 2020 IPMA Entry Kit is available to download now and contains all the information you need to successfully complete your entry submission.
Nick Caulfield, director of partnerships at Expedia Group, who has previously judged entries for the IPMAs shares his top tips to ensure you completed and send in the perfect entry.
Some of these tips to take on board include:
- Demonstrate causality and show how your initiatives directly impact results
- Look beyond BAU and highlight creative or unique aspects of your entry to differentiate yourself from the competition
- Don’t reverse engineer your objectives based on your results
- Be kind to your judges and communicate the essence of the entry in a way that enables the reader to absorb it quickly and easily
Also, don’t forget to hit the right marks when submitting your work: check off your objectives, present your results in a clear fashion, include supporting evidence and the most important of them all, read the entry guidelines.
