Movers & Shakers: December 2019

The last month of 2019 saw several movers and shakers for companies MainAd, Ogilvy, Zenith, M&C Saatchi and more.

Movers

MainAd has announced the appointment of Roberto Pizzato as its head of marketing and will further bolster the ad tech company’s leadership team as it drives international expansion and market growth.

Ogilvy has bolstered its leadership team for Unilever with Nadja Bellan-White and Daniel Fisher as global managing director and global executive creative director respectively.

Meanwhile, data science and martech firm 4C has recruited Karl Knights as VP of revenue, EMEA, where he will spearhead the region’s contribution to $2 billion+ in annualised advertising, spend currently running through the Scope by 4C™ platform.

Elsewhere, Engagio has welcomed Megan Heuer as VP of marketing. In her new role, Heuer will lead Engagio’s marketing team and support the company’s rapid and continued growth. 

Kameleoon has appointed Martin Harrison as first UK managing director to drive its growth into the UK and Northern European markets.

Furthermore, Zenith UK has expanded its growing team with four management team promotions, including Sannah Rogers and Jon Stevens to managing director respectively in addition to Richard Kirk (chief strategy officer) and Matt Skelding (managing partner).

Bristol-based CRM specialist, Armadillo has welcomed Nick Beevors as their senior strategist. Beevors joins the business with over 15 years' experience across the planning and strategy industry; splitting his expertise between integrated advertising agencies and in-house marketing departments. 

Shakers

Following the departures of M&C Saatchi’s co-founder Maurice Saatchi and non-executive directors Lorna Tilbian, Michael Dobbs and Michael Peat, the UK ad agency has confirmed further departures. CEO Giles Hedger and chief creative officer Justin Tindall both accepted voluntary redundancy due to the loss of the Natwest ad account, as confirmed by The Drum.

Meanwhile, Publicis Groupe announced the departure of chief integration officer Lisa Donohue according to an internal memo obtained by Ad Age. Donohue's exit is yet another in a recent wave of executive departures from the agency giant in recent weeks.

Lastly, Peter Dolukhanov, Group CTO at Karmarama has departed to launch his own business, Decoded Consulting, a modern technology leadership practice offering CTO services and helping businesses grow and scale using technology, digital products and services.
