As an international leader in performance-based digital marketing and technology, Tradedoubler has paved the way for innovation and expertise with great solutions for advertisers and publishers. With this year marketing the network’s 20th anniversary and fresh from hosting their first DisrupTECH event in London, we’re excited to welcome Tradedoubler as headline sponsor of the 2019 Performance Marketing Awards.

Ahead of the grand ceremony on April 30 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London, we spoke to Tradedoubler UK operations director Clement Labbe on all things awards; explaining why it’s a significant date in the calendar year as well as viewing the shortlist and them sponsoring the category for Industry Disruptor Award which will no doubt be a close race to the top prize!

How does it feel to be backing the Performance Marketing Awards, and why is it such a significant date in the industry calendar?

Clement Labbe: Tradedoubler has always been a proud supporter of the Performance Marketing Awards, and we are very proud to be the headline sponsor of this year’s edition. As a leading digital marketing company, we are committed to providing the very best to our clients and partners, and we are thrilled to support such a prestigious and enjoyable event.

Since inception, the Performance Marketing Awards have grown into the leading and largest awards ceremony in performance marketing and continue to provide a wonderful opportunity to showcase and celebrate the very best in an industry that never stops evolving.

Having viewed the full shortlist, what are your impressions of the standard and types of companies in the running this year?

CL: While the Performance Marketing Awards cover a wider range of disciplines year-on-year, the increase in different companies and brands included on this year’s shortlist is a testament that our industry continues to thrive.

The performance marketing landscape continues to evolve, with technology and innovation playing an increasingly important role in the channel and I’m delighted to see seen a notable diversity in entries across the board with companies such as RevLifter, Global Savings Group and Increasingly being shortlisted.

Tradedoubler is also sponsoring the Industry Disruptor Award category. What attributes are you hoping to see rewarded here?

CL: At Tradedoubler, we have a passion for promoting innovation and creativity and the Industry Disruptor Award category seeks exceptional companies that have fundamentally disrupted the industry as we know it. Beyond a well thought-out, holistic story, I hope to see a true incremental and sustainable value to brands being rewarded, as well as industry-wide adoption.

Looking back at performance marketing in 2018, are there any recurring themes you expect to see coming through when the night’s winners are announced?

CL: The Performance Marketing Awards span a wide array of disciplines and verticals, recognising exemplary work on well-executed campaigns, to the innovative use of the channel, to creativity and innovation and my prediction is that cutting-edge advancements of technology and innovative partnerships will be prevailing during the evening.

And finally, are there any additional announcements from Tradedoubler that you’re keen to share with us?

CL: Whilst we recently released a brand-new publisher interface based on a new publisher API, we will continuously deliver new functionalities to the publisher platform while working on the dedicated APIs and interfaces for advertisers and agencies. The availability of these new interfaces and the matching APIs is scheduled for the second half of 2019.
