Affiliate marketing and services company Pepperjam has been making some key developments these past few weeks, following the launch of its affiliate marketing tech lifecycle tech platform Ascend, with Mike Flanagan and Don Gustavson joining the company as regional VP of sales, East, and VP of agency development and strategic partnerships, respectively.
Over at Merkle, the data-driven performance marketing agency that continues to expand on a global scale, Greg Womack has been appointed to the role of VP of enterprise sales. Womack joins the agency from Adobe, where he was previously the director of strategic accounts. Meanwhile, London-based commerce content monetisation platform Skimlinks has hired Lauren Newman as their new VP of revenue, based out of the New York office, following the firm’s first market solution for monetising commerce links through Accelerated Mobile Pages.
Performance marketing agency Acceleration Partners has promoted Emily Tetto to VP of talent and culture, having previously worked as a senior director in the division. Tetto will oversee the culture of Acceleration Partners in addition to talent acquisition, professional development and training as the firm continues to grow internationally.
Publicis Media’s performance marketing agency, Performics has appointed Aaron Vardon as national head of strategy and planning with Simon Gellibrand promoted to the new role of national customer services director. Publicis Media has also announced the hire of Lauren Hanrahan as CEO of Zenith US, Moxie and MRY. In this remit, she will be responsible for delivering transformation to Zenith’s roster of clients, accelerating the growth of the agency, and inspiring a high-performance culture where people love to work.
Elsewhere, creative tech firm Appetite Creative has confirmed the appointment of Fernando Davila as head of product. Under his role, Davila will bring his unique and valuable knowledge to focus on new technology and product development for Appetite Creative clients.
In the world of influencer marketing, digital marketing expert and award-winning entrepreneur Adam Ludwin has joined SaaS influencer marketing platform Influencer as a director of the board in preparation for the company’s rapid expansion. Ludwin will be working closely with founders Ben Jeffries and Caspar Lee on the growth of the company, allowing them to take their offering to new markets across the globe.
Digital marketing and e-commerce agency Visualsoft has appointed Lee Blackwell as their new head of IT and security. In his new role, Blackwell will help to enhance the security of Visualsoft’s e-commerce platform software for retailers in addition to introducing greater automation to drive reliability and resilience.
In other news, WPP’s leading out-of-home (OOH) agency, Kinetic has announced that CEO Stuart Taylor will be retiring from the helm in June. During his six years in charge, Taylor has helped steer strong revenue performance for Kinetic in addition to setting the agenda for the digital advertising industry in embracing the growth in digital screens, planning and trading technology.
More news in the display advertising department, VIOOH, the open, independent and global marketplace for digital out of home (DOOH) and OOH, has recruited Natalia Escribano as its chief commercial officer. Escribano will be responsible for shaping and growing the business and partnerships with DOOH media owners as well as building the platform’s sales team. She will also be tasked with expanding VIOOH’s global footprint, helping the business to attract media owners.
Performance marketing agency PartnerCentric has promoted Lisette Howard and Craig McGlynn respectively. As VP of client success, Howard will develop strategies internally and externally to ensure a successful customer journey for the company’s client base. As VP of revenue, McGlynn will supervise all revenue attainment, including business development and exploring new services to expand the company’s offering.
Direct Line Group has appointed Dipesh Karia as senior affiliate consultant, bringing with him eight years of affiliate marketing experience having worked previously at Webgains, CK Net and Broadplace. Karia takes on the role which was previously held by industry-recognised Jade Bassett who has since moved to project manager to lead on further projects within the company.
Lastly, the IAB has bolsters its board of directors following its recent leadership Summit Sunday with the appointment of Microsoft Advertising VP Rik van der Kooi.
