Performance marketing agency Acceleration Partners and digital marketing consultancy Connected Path are joining PerformanceIN to host a webinar on Encouraging Diversity in Speaking at PI LIVE 2019 on Friday, March 8, International Women’s Day at 11.30 GMT, which will focus on public speaking and encouraging more diversity on panel sessions at business events.
Join this webinar to hear Acceleration Partners managing director of EMEA Helen Southgate and Connected Path managing partner Anjulie Blunden discuss their personal experiences of public speaking at business events, their insights into the current landscape of presenting on stage, and why we think there needs to be more diversity and talent represented in panel discussions.
PI LIVE and 50/50 pledge
Speaker submissions for PI LIVE 2019 are open until May 1 and one of the main goals for this year is to encourage more diversity on the stage, and that includes gender diversity.
PI LIVE is aiming for a 50% split for panel sessions this year, however, one of the problems that arose last year was that many women and younger speakers looking to present for the first time did not submit pitches to speak in the first place, making it tricky to present a fully diverse event. We want to change that this time around and tackle this industry-wide problem and encourage new faces to get up on stage at industry events like PI LIVE. In this webinar, we’ll discuss everything from speaking at events and submitting pitches to encouraging diverse voices on the stage and how to deliver a stand-out session to a live audience.
