Movers & Shakers: July 2018

PerformanceIN

Now we’ve reached the height of summer, lots of industry professionals are busy soaking up the sun so it’s been a little quiet, but here’s a roundup of the performance marketing industry changes in July.

Following automated engagement building platform indaHash’s appointment of John Kalis as VP of sales at its US office, indaHash has welcomed both Daniel Best as VP of EMEA and Abigail Morrish as chief partnerships officer to be based in its London office.

Morrish has over 10 years of experience working in the media industry. Prior to indaHash, Morrish served as head of digital engagement at Wavemaker where she was responsible for the social content strategy, digital content creation and cross-channel ideation across a portfolio of clients, while Best brings over 20 years of experience in traditional and online media to his new role.

In other news, Partnerize has hired Matt Simmonds as VP of product, who will be based at their London offices. Building on the company’s Partnerize Partner Management Platform (PMP), Simmonds will maximise capabilities and grow the company’s machine-learning-based offerings. Prior to Partnerize, he was VP of product management at Oracle Marketing Cloud.

Meanwhile, data-driven customer engagement company Engine Hub has appointed Karen Waters as product director. Leading the pioneering product team, Waters will ensure that the company is constantly driving the next stage of the digital customer experience evolution.

It’s been good news for Inskin Media, a specialist in multi-screen, rich-media display advertising,  as it has announced a number of key appointments from within to support its company growth. Evan Russell has become the commercial director, and Julia Burton-Brown is taking on the international sales director role, while Matthew Newcomb has been appointed group publisher director and Bart Dabrowski is the new creative director.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Singapore has announced its new leadership team and election of new chair and vice chair, with Joe Nguygen as chair, and Laura Green-Wilkinson as vice chair.

Over at global location data and analytics platform Blis, industry veteran Diane Perlman was recruited as chief marketing officer to oversee the company’s global marketing strategy. Perlman’s addition to Blis comes after growth in the US, and previously, Perlman led the UK marketing communications for Windows Phone at Microsoft and later created plus ran the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator.

Coming over from Schuh, Ross Bowers joins the team at Equator as the affiliate manager. Ross will be working on building the company's strategies for a number of clients including AXA, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin.

Leading global independent platform for ad management, data activation and unified insights Flashtalking has announced the debut of its new consulting services led by John Mruz.

Under Mruz’s strategic guidance, the group will support Flashtalking clients navigating the programmatic landscape.

Exterion Media, Europe’s largest privately-owned OOH company has welcomed Julian Carter as regional sales director for the north. Meanwhile, marketing automation site Pure360 has hired Mark Ash as the new CEO, who will take over from Stuart Dawson.

In his new position, Ash will play a vital role in the development of Pure360’s core platform as well as helping clients reach new levels of marketing performance.

Lastly, in the influencer marketing space, marketing platform Influencers has recruited Mark Wright as first chief revenue officer and Todd Mansill as first chief technology officer.

That’s all for now; stay tuned for next month’s edition of Movers & Shakers for another round of job updates, so make them known to us at content@performancein.com if you’d like to feature yourself or a colleague.
