Rakuten Marketing’s Symposium London returns for another year this month, bringing performance marketers together for the UK leg of its international conference series.

Taking place at The Brewery, East London on April 18, the all-day event promises keynotes and presentations from industry experts, including Peter Fisk, author of leading business innovation guide Gamechangers, and James Chandler, CMO of the Internet Advertising Bureau UK.

Innovation at heart

“A focal point throughout the day will be the role of innovation,” commented Rakuten Marketing’s UK marketing director, Abi Jacks.

“When curating content for this year’s Symposium London, we’ve been focused on how brands and their marketing teams can change their perspective on innovation, owning a piece of it themselves to drive positive outcomes.”

The concept will embody itself in a number of sessions; non-traditional publishers are set to share models disrupting the affiliate space, while the opportunities of the rapidly-growing APAC market explored by the network’s own European MD, as well as within the keynotes themselves.

“Peter Fisk has a way of bringing the consumer experience to life and James Chandler is refreshing in delivering past learnings that can impact future behaviours,” commented Jacks.

Premium networking

Away from the stage, Symposium London will provide ample opportunity for crafting new and profitable business relationships, with the event open to its client base of over 600 brands, publishers and partners.

Just some of those backing the event include Kurt Geiger, Mapp, NMPi, Inflecto, Bloom & Wild and Quidco, while the network’s on-site DealMaker Tradeshow gives attendees the opportunity to network with top brands and publishers, from fashion, luxury and beauty retailers to voucher, cashback and social shopping sites.

It wouldn’t be a performance marketing event without an Afterparty; to cap off a day of insight, networking and learning, attendees can mingle long into the night with a cold drink or two, located just a stone’s throw away at Chiswell Street Dining Rooms.

An official media partner of Symposium London, PerformanceIN will be bringing you updates, interviews and highlights from the event.
