Affiliate network Webgains, part of the Ad Pepper Media Group, has today announced plans to expand into two new European locations as part of its latest expansion plan.

The UK-based affiliate marketing network will this month expand into Munich and Milan offering sales and account management services – as well as integration, compliance, insight and attribution facilities – bringing its total operating locations to eight.

The news follows annual sales for the Amsterdam-based Ad Pepper Group exceeding €75 million with a “record” EBITDA of €2.2 million. Webgains was considered a “major growth driver”, growing 22.8% year-on-year and representing the group’s largest sales segment.

The network also welcomed on a number of new clients including Hertz, Thrifty and Lovehoney, while 2018 has already seen new advertisers including Decathlon and Newmarket Travel and over 40 other hotel and travel brands added to its ranks.

On the expansion plans, Webgains’ CEO Richard Dennys said the network was “super committed” to deepening its European presence and to support the “many incoming opportunities” ahead as a growing business.

“Statement of intent”

Following the launch, the Munich office will fall under the remit of Webgains’ Germany managing director, Andreas Sasnovskis, who joined the team in 2007, while the Milan office will be headed up by Vittorio Lorenzoni, who joined the business this month having previously been southern regional director for affiliate network Tradedoubler.

“Having a base in two more major European cities means we can now serve our network of clients and publisher partners where they are, and will also help us to launch our new user platform to an ever-expanding audience,” continued Dennys.

“Webgains is a global-facing company with existing clients spanning from the Americas to the Far East and this expansion is a statement of intent for how we see ourselves increasing that worldwide reach and presence in the future.”

The statement was echoed by Jens Körner, CEO of Ad Pepper Media Group; “Affiliate marketing is a global network so it is only right that Webgains continues to have a global presence and we are extremely excited about what this new stage in the business growth will mean going forward.”
