Movers & Shakers returns for the month of October, bringing a slew of new job announcements within the performance marketing space.

Agency-side

The Dentsu Aegisowned performance marketing agency iProspect has been flexing some international muscle.

Down Under, the agency has appointed Patrick Heyer as general manager for Melbourne, following a decade at Neo@Ogilvy internationally, most recently as performance director for Ogilvy & Mather Singapore’s media planning and buying unit.

Meanwhile, a string of promotions came for its leadership team with Ankita Pande, previously AVP of operations, elevated to head of strategy across the market, Venkat Gavaskar Dontha, former AVP of SEO, assigned as branch head – West, and Shipra Tandon, making the step up from content marketing strategist to head the agency’s content marketing division at national level.

Staying on the agency-side, Havas Group’s marketing brand Ecselis announced Bertrand Fraboulet and Karim Eid as co-global Heads; the former joins from the role as co-head of Ecselis France, while Eid joins from Publicis Media France, where he was managing director for Zenith and Performics.

A number of other shakeups within the Ecselis Paris office include Christophe Le Marchand as global client director and Oriol Agudo named global operations coordinator.

In the United States, data-driven performance marketing agency Merkle, announced the appointment of Anne-Marie Schaffer to general manager of the group’s travel, media, and entertainment practice, joining Merkle from PHD Media Worldwide, where she served as president of PHD West.

Meanwhile, WPP “veteran” Marc-Antoine De Roys, the former global CFO and COO of tenthavenue, has been appointed to the WPP-owned out of home and experiential-focused agency Kinetic as global chief executive.

Ad techs

It’s been a big month for Tradedoubler alumni, with former head of affiliate sales Ricki Jones leaving his latest role as head of affiliates and lead generation for Omnicom Media Group, taking up the post of chief commercial officer at Tech Essence.

Meanwhile, following his departure from the Scandinavian network in June and hiatus as an industry consultant, former TradeDoubler regional director Dan Cohen has joined cloud-based customer engagement company Como as UK managing director.

Over at SaaS-based ad tech company CAKE in California, a promotion comes for Carlee Benito, the group’s former senior client strategy manager, taking up a post as product marketing manager.

Edging closer to the 1,000 headcount milestone and nipping at the heels of Google, New York-headquartered AppNexus has announced a round of senior exec promotions, including the appointment of Theresa Vu to the role of SVP of engineering; Julie Kapsch to the role of SVP of services; Andrew Rutledge to the role of SVP of North American sales & account management; and Joshua Zeitz to the role of SVP of marketing and communications.

Commerce marketing tech company Criteo has made Jonathan Opdyke its chief strategy officer, having joined the outfit as president of brand solutions as part of the HookLogic acquisition in 2016, which he also co-founded in 2004.

Selligent, a provider of relationship marketing SaaS solutions based on consumer insights, announced the promotion of Roy Jugessur to senior vice president of global sales, having joined three years ago and most recently serving in the role of VP of sales Northern Europe.

Programmatic technology leader OpenX has announced a new CTO. Holding the same title at mobile search company Zowdow – a business he founded – Paul Ryan joins OpenX where he’ll lead a global team of more than 250 engineers and data scientists.

A former Rackspace executive will be heading up commerce specialist Astound Commerce’s new headquarters in Dubai as it makes a MENA landgrab. Khalid Khan, who joined the company in July last year, will serve as vice president Middle East & emerging markets.

Online coupons and deals platform Saleduck has said farewell to former marketing director, Rosanne Hortensius, having joined the company in 2013 as an online marketeer. Hortensius has taken a position at Skyscanner as the company’s growth manager for Netherlands based in Edinburgh.
