Tech and online gaming solutions provider Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) is growing its affiliate network through the acquisition of Scandinavian media owner Stk Marketing in its largest purchase to date worth €26 million.

The Oslo-listed, Malta-headquartered group has estimated that around 70% of its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) will be powered by Stk Marketing’s revenue share deals within the first year of finalising the deal.

GIG is planning to merge the network into its marketing platforms and data systems, Innovation Labs.

“We have set an ambition for Innovation Labs to become the largest lead generation business in iGaming and we are well underway in realising this,” explained the group’s chief executive, Robin Reed, in a statement on the firm’s website, adding the company has now established “a leading position” in the Nordic affiliate space.

The buyout is GIG’s fourth affiliate deal this year, as the group continues to boost its position in the industry. Earlier in 2017, the firm purchased assets of an undisclosed affiliate network, followed by a takeover of affiliate website Casinotopsonline.com.

Continuing its European expansion, GIG also bought an affiliate network focused on sportsbook customers in the DACH (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) region.
