Watch: PI Connect Bristol Brings Performance Marketers Together on the Water

PerformanceIN

Farringdon was a veritable ghost town on Wednesday.

Performance marketers - from pioneers to apprentices - made their way to sun-flecked Bristol for the annual PI Connect boat party on Wednesday for a day of networking on the water.

Supported by Optimus Performance Marketing, affilinet, Impact Radius, vouchercloud and Tradedoubler, the event attracted over 60 attendees from companies including TradeTracker, Awin, Vouchercloud, TopCashback, TechEssence, Smarterclick, CJ Affiliate by Conversant, and many others.

Gathering in the city’s old Cymru-slate trading centre Welsh Back, once boarded, the Tower Belle made its weary way up the river Avon with hot July sun shining bright; conversation and drinks flowed liberally as the century-old vessel wound its way out of the city.

Soon the affiliate flotilla had made its way out of Bristol’s perimeter and the London-based attendance was treated to a true taste of Southwest tranquillity, the river’s verdant banks interrupted only by the occasional fisherman or bikini-clad reveller.

With appetites fit to be slain, the Belle was docked at Beese's Riverside Bar in Conham, where crewman dined on a BBQ lunch - and further drinks - before alighting the vessel once again for her steady return back to the thrum of the city - where yet further drinks were enjoyed.

Thanks again to the event’s sponsors and all who came and made the day a great success. If you missed them, photos from the day are available on the PerformanceIN Facebook page. Learn more about our upcoming PerformanceIN Live show in October here.
