While all eyes are on a new year, we’re taking a look at the final key job changes of 2016 in this December edition of Movers & Shakers. 

Affiliate Window bid farewell to three long-standing members of the network; former UK country manager, Anthony Clements, and former operations director, Anjulie Truong, both stepped down from the affiliate network, following eight and five years at the company respectively. 

Meanwhile, Nicholas Caulfield, former client services director, has ended a ten-year tenure at the same network to join travel comparison site Expedia as head of partnerships for EMEA. 

With CJ Affiliate’s former European managing director, Charles Delamain, joining General Electric as VP of European sales, promotions were handed to former country manager UK, Anne Delhon – who becomes regional VP – and former country manager of DACH, Tobias Allgeyer, to regional vice president Germany, France, Nordics & CEE.

Following a career in performance marketing spanning the likes of TradeDoubler, TBG Digital and most recently as chief development officer of Webgains, Ben Cole made the decision last year to become freelance.

A market leader for airport parking and hotel packages in the UK, Holiday Extras added to its 930-strong team with four new additions to its leadership suite. These include Andrew Parker as chief data officer, known for growing Badoo from start-up status; Andy Britcliffe as technology director – the former CTO of Quill Content, and David Norris as COO, whose past roles include website operations director at Expedia.

Alex Hunter also joins as interim CMO – a travel industry speaker, former PMI keynote and ex-global head of digital for the Virgin Group

The commercial arm of News UK, The Bridge, has taken on Ian Hocking to the newly-created role of head of programmatic. Hocking joins from Ad2One where has was eBay’s head of agency and programmatic sales. Leaving News UK from his most recent role of head of commercial projects, after 12 years at the business, Graham Martin has joined the agency Total Media as head of publishing.  

Programmatic advertising marketplace specialist OpenX has taken on a former Apple mobile expert. Charlie McGee joins the company as senior director of buyer development for EMEA. McGee formerly served as head of UK sales and agency partnerships for EMEA at iAd Apple’s mobile advertising platform.  

Sales promotion consultancy Opia announced the appointment of two new senior hires; Matthew Wallis as sales director for Northern Europe, having left a role at Taiwan-based electronics company MiTAC, while Anthony Everest joins as business development director, leaving Sony

Data grabs

Joining from Sky Media, where he was head of data partnerships, people-based marketing company Signal announced Nick McCarthy as managing director for UK and EMEA. During his time at Sky, McCarthy held a number of roles including information & decision sciences director and customer development director for Sky IQ.

Local marketing software provider Brandmuscle announced Chris Land as VP of client services for co-op and channel management from Sears Holding Corporation, and Jen Miles as VP of performance marketing, have held positions at Codesummit, Zig Marketing, Wyse Marketing, and Bates.

A US leader in experience-driven personalised ad and content delivery, TE2 roped in two new members to its management team, with Matt Oberdorfer, previously CTO of Frost Data Capital, joined as vice president of product, while Dan O’Neill, joined as vice president of engineering having served as VP of engineering at Certona

Oracle Marketing Cloud’s former head of sales for EMEA has left to join Yext. Andy Champion will join the location data management company as head of sales for UK and Northern Europe, as the group ramps up operations on the continent. 

Finally, US-based ViralGains, a company specialising in video advertising tech solutions, appointed two new executives. As CMO, Julie Ginches brings a track record in accelerating the growth and positioning of a number of tech companies, including eXelateRubicon Project and DataXu. A new VP of product management and strategy comes with Glenn Kilandis – the founder of FreeMyApps, an app discovery & engagement network.
