In Pictures: Connect Brings Networking to the Waterways of Bristol

Last Thursday (September 22) PerformanceIN welcomed performance marketers to its hometown for Connect: Bristol, celebrating the last of the summer sun in Southwest style.

Both local and from afar, nearly 100 representatives from leading networks, agencies and tech companies made it out for the day, which was kindly sponsored by affilinet, Impact Radius, Lissi, Optimus Performance Marketing, Paid on Results and vouchercloud.

A networking event with a difference, Connect goers gathered at King Street, a locals’ haunt, before boarding the restored 1920s river steamer Tower Belle, for what was to be an afternoon talking all things 'paid-by-performance' on the water.

Landmark cruise

The voyage took a turn through Bristol’s sun-dappled floating harbour, where SS Great Britain, Prince’s Wharf and Brunel Locks supplied a colourful backdrop with the networking well underway and the afternoon tipples flowing freely.

Back on dry land, and with an afternoon on the water working up an appetite, attendees headed to the heart of Bristol’s old city, St Nicholas Street, where they were served a late lunch of barbecued burgers, sweet potato fries and summer salads.

PerformanceIN used the time to catch up with one of the event's sponsors, Lissi's Nicky McShane, who spoke about her new venture and experiences in affiliate marketing.

The sun setting and the bar still open, attendees weren’t ready to leave early and Connect continued late into the evening. PerformanceIN would like to extend its gratitude to all sponsors, partners and attendees for making it an unforgettable day. We’ll see you in London again soon!
