Movers & Shakers is the monthly destination for performance marketing updates, so remember to keep us informed of all new appointments and departures. Here are those that we spotted throughout July.

Performance marketing agency iProspect announced two new senior hires. James Bailey joined the team as a managing partner within the client leadership team, heading over from a prior posting as head of business development for Maxus UK. Meanwhile Chris Duncan took the position of consult manager, with extensive experience stemming from consultancy at firms including PricewaterhouseCooper.

APAC operatives

Ad tech firm Criteo installed Yvonne Chang, former president of media owner Eastern Broadcasting, to lead business in Asia as executive managing director. Chang’s career also spans executive roles at Yahoo! and Alibaba.com.

Following its latest funding round, tipped to boost M&As and an expansion into Asia, video ad tech company Teads recruited MEC China’s former president, Christian Guinot, to drive new APAC operations from the newly established Singapore hub.

Video players

Staying within the realms of video advertising, Tremor Video appointed Jeanne Houweling as vice president of programmatic demand partnerships. Houweling brings 20 years of experience in digital to the post, and arrives from running her own consulting firm for media and ad tech companies.

VertaMedia, an online video supply-side platform, announced the appointment of Ian Newfeld as head of North American sales at its New York head office, poaching him from similar roles at AniView and NTENT.

Mobile manning

Gearing up for a power play, content monetisation tech startup Unlockd added a number of big names in telco media and technology to its board and executive team, including global media-communications and technology executive Solomon Trujillo, and former Virgin Group CEO David Baxby.

Joining the company’s leadership team are Craig Rees as chief product officer, who leaves behind the title of group product manager at Atlassian, and Ashley Conn, former executive director of mergers & acquisitions for Goldman Sachs, joining as chief financial officer.

BeMyEye, the European leader in mobile crowdsourcing, has hired ex-Zynga gamification expert Patrick McGrath as director of product – app & community. Patrick brings a host of unique skills gained from launching globally successful games on mobile and desktop for NCsoft, PopCap and NaturalMotion – part of Zynga group.
