The European Performance Marketing Awards has revealed its shortlist of nominees ahead of a debut ceremony in Amsterdam’s Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on July 4, co-hosted with Performance Marketing Insights: Europe.

For the first time, the Performance Marketing Awards goes beyond the borders of the UK, now shining a light on the European market.

The full list of pack leaders in the running for an award is now available here, including the likes of zanox, JVWeb, NetBooster, Forward3D, DigitasLBi, and many more, partnered with some of the world’s most well renowned brands.

The companies listed represent some of the finest examples of performance marketing within the continent, all connected via the ‘pay-on-results’ ethos.

All aspects awarded

With 22 accolades open to the competition, a broad range of companies will be rewarded for their stellar work over the last year.

The Innovation categories seek standout companies in the publisher, network, agency and ad tech space, showcasing successful entries from European exclusives as well as some faces familiar to the Awards’ UK ceremony.

The Channel categories see performance marketing divided into eight distinct arms – lead generation, retargeting and programmatic among others – zeroing on the partnerships that have struck a chord for ingenuity and feasibility, and more, from the outset.

Meanwhile, the Vertical awards look for those leading performance advertising in the retail, travel & leisure, finance and technology & telecoms sectors.

But that’s not all. Nominees have already been shortlisted for the Publishers’ Choice categories, which remain open for votes from partners wanting to recognise their favourite companies within the distinct geographical boundaries of Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, the ‘Rest of Europe’ and ‘Rest of the World’.

The experts’ eye

These final contenders come as a result of a meticulous judging process by performance marketing experts with direct experience of European operations, as well as those representing market-leading players.

Anne-Marie Schwab, general manager & vice president of RetailMeNot, formed part of this year’s judging panel and claimed it was a “great pleasure” to participate in the very first selection process.

“The overall quality of the entries was very high and the participants were able to demonstrate a strong capacity to innovate and their ability to drive impressive results for their partners and clients,” said Schwab.

“Making it on the shortlist is great recognition for the work that has been done; it honours the most interesting and exciting marketing campaigns that we’ve seen across Europe over the last year.”

Fellow panellist and senior director of global marketing for AppNexus, Graham Wylie claimed to be impressed with the “breadth and calibre of entries” which show the “real impact” of business performance across Europe.

The first ever European performance marketing champions will be crowned on the evening of July 4, bringing an end to day one of Performance Marketing Insights: Europe in the heart of the Dutch capital.
