European affiliate network zanox has announced the appointment of Tim Lomborg as its new MD for the Nordic region.
Lomborg has spent the last five years at zanox and transitions from his role as head of key account management for the network’s travel clients. It was in this capacity that he served the likes of Expedia, Germanwings and Unister Group from the company’s Berlin office.
He will now be charged with leading zanox’s Nordic operation from Stockholm as the network looks to “deliver a new level of sophistication” to the affiliate marketing industry.
Growing potential
Lomborg’s career documents 11 years of affiliate marketing experience, which will be put to use in a region he describes as boasting “great potential”.
He commented: “The Nordic market has great potential for zanox, for both new and existing business. By working closer with our clients we are confident we can maximise the performance model and make it a more significant part of the advertisers’ marketing mix.”
In terms of online sales, the Nordics is certainly a region on the rise.
Data from Postnord revealed a 23% pick-up in e-commerce revenue across the nations in Q2 2015 compared with the year before, with €4.29 billion finding its way into the pockets of retailers selling online.
“Ambitious targets”
Also adding his thoughts on the news was Adam Ross, chief operating officer of zanox, who echoed Lomborg’s thoughts about how much business from the likes of Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Denmark will matter in the coming years.
“The Nordic regions carry significant importance for the group and we have ambitious targets to grow our presence there.
“Tim is a strong leader, who understands the market and our business implicitly. He brings a service-orientated approach that will see zanox flourish.”
