Another month sailed by, and the world of performance marketing keeps spinning; we’ve more than a few job updates that you might have missed during February – it’s Movers & Shakers.
Agency-side
Havas Media’s CEO and UK managing director, Paul Frampton, became head of the performance marketing agency’s entire UK & Ireland operations as CEO of Havas Media Group. This follows the recent move of Pedro Avery to global CEO of Havas sports & entertainment.
Meanwhile, the group’s data insights arm, helia, took on Russell Marsh as its new chief data officer.
IProspect’s UK base bolstered its senior leadership with three new hires: Kerry Hipkiss was appointed VP of business strategy, Hannah Fisher joined as executive director of client leadership, while a new chief strategy and analytics officer arrived in the form of Jack Swayne.
Paula Jago has joined the ranks of digital marketing agency iCrossing as head of UK operations, having left the Professional Intelligence Academy, where she had the dual role of chief operating officer & chief of staff.
Data-based
Global travel data platform ADARA has been flexing its European muscle, announcing four new continental hires.
Sara Pastor has been taken on as commercial director of Europe, having left LivingSocial. Former KAYAK employee, Larissa Lampe, assumed the same role for the DACH region, while another commercial director was hired in Maxime Terpman to oversee the group’s operations in France and Belgium. Steve Hawker, meanwhile, joins as ADARA’s marketing director for EMEA and APAC.
Additionally, the group added co-founder of Thayer Lodging Group and “travel industry influencer” Lee Pillsbury to its board of directors.
Ebiquity, an independent marketing analytics company, announced the appointment of Tim Hussain as the UK head of digital media, stepping away from his post as director of digital strategy at programmatic advertising company Collective.
Programmatic hires
Former BBC Advertising global SVP sales operations and programmatic authority, Tom Bowman, will steer prospecting company Intelligent Optimisations (IO) as CEO, having garnered over two decades worth of industry leadership experience. He spoke about the move and the state of viewability with PerformanceIN.
IO also takes on Emily Hanson as VP of marketing from Rocketfuel, Melina Gisler joins as commercial product director – leaving from Unanimis – and Adrian Degutis as sales director, from Vibrant Media.
French programmatic video company StickyADS.tv continued on its upward curve with the hire of Rashmi Paul as UK head of publisher services, leaving behind a stint at ad tech company Innovid, having spent seven years at MediaCom prior to that.
Publisher platform 1XL is bolstering its automated ad offering with the appointment of Victoria Swainson as head of programmatic. Swainson leaves behind the post of head of client development at Switch Concepts.
RTB House – a Polish-based ad tech company – is supporting its launch into the LATAM market with the hire of Wojciech Głowacki as business development director for LATAM, while the group’s new business director of Brazil, Rodrigo Framil, leaves his post after just two months to join dunnhumby as digital media director in Sao Paulo.
Mobile appointments
Data-driven mobile ad solutions company YOC appointed Sebastian Bauermann to the newly created role of director of finance for the entire group. Bauermann assumes responsibility for the company’s commercial operations at both domestic and international level.
Having spent nearly five years at the cross-channel performance advertising specialist as vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa sales, Tim Collin has been promoted to vice president and managing director of EMEA for Marin Software.
Rounding off in the same region, in the world of search marketing, Bing Ads has promoted long-term Microsoft search division employee Minal Fofaria to the newly-created position of head of EMEA insights.
And finally, global e-commerce provider Astound Commerce has enlisted the founder and former CEO of e-commerce consultancy Tryzens, Terry Hunter, as its UK managing director.
