It’s Movers & Shakers for the month of January 2016, and we’ll start of with some toing and froing in the realms of ad tech.

Jivox, a platform for data-driven advertising, announced former eBay marketing executive Robert Chatwani onto its board of directors. He transitions to the new role after serving as chief revenue and marketing officer at social commerce specialist Teespring.

Meanwhile, advertising software company SteelHouse has bolstered its board, onboarding former Yahoo interim CEO Ross Levinsohn.

Financial tech pioneer Quint has claimed a trio of senior management hires, headhunting experience from the UK online gaming sector. Anthony Wong, formerly of Paddy Power, joins from Quantcast as Quint’s group marketing director. Former DigiSub managing director Edward Ross, whose CV includes mobile apps product manager for Sky Betting & Gaming, has joined as head of product.

Sebastian Haack makes up the third, folding at Full Tilt to become Quint’s international development director.

Agencies in Asia

An offshoot of WPP, global media agency Mindshare has appointed Karl Cluck as chief client officer for its Asia-Pacific arm. Cluck was the group’s former CEO for Japan, Korea and Taiwan, having taken over from Roy Sudipto, who departed to become CEO of developing markets for WPP’s Tenth Avenue.

Robin Bach Kolling has been tapped by GroupM Malaysia as head of connect, in charge of overseeing the media investment group’s paid digital media services in the market. Kolling leaves his post in the Netherlands as head of digital media agency M2Media.

Neo@Ogilvy made two senior hires to its Gurgaon office in India, one of 40 globally, taking on Ankit Agarwal as VP and head of performance marketing, while Suraj Nagappa is hired as VP and head of North.

Back in Malaysia again, Starcom Mediavest Group snapped up Nandan Samant to the position of associate director, ready to launch its performance media team, joining from the SMG Convonix Mumbai office.

Programmatic picks

Native video ad specialist Teads roped in the expertise of Jonathan Nash as head of programmatic for the UK and international – Nash having held a similar title at tech giant AOL.

The former president of programmatic tech at Vivaki, Marco Bertozzi, joined fellow Publicis Group-owned Starcom Mediavest Group as CEO of performance marketing – a newly created role as part of a decentralisation of the wider company’s programmatic capacity.

Data grabs

Survey and data insights platform SurveyMonkey made a number of leadership changes, with Zander Lurie, current chair of the board, made chief executive of the company as Bill Veghte steps away from the role. Both remain on the board, while current member David Ebersman has become chair.

Paul Kennedy has joined CRM agency Amaze One as data strategy director, to include input into St Ives’ sister company, Occam. He leaves behind a stint as head of consulting at Callcredit Information Group.

Acxiom, a company comprising enterprise data, analytics and SaaS, has promoted its leader of client delivery, Dennis Self, to president and general manager of marketing services.

Meanwhile the former VP of revenue operations & strategy at cloud-based collaboration software company Huddle, Andrew Keen, has joined Rant & Rave, a real-time customer engagement specialist, as COO.

Affiliate acquisitions

Former Groupon CTO and senior VP of engineering operations Sridatta Viswanath has joined the workplace collaboration software group, Atlassian, which went public last month.

Finally, Hooklogic‘s expansion into Paris has brought with it a need for a new country manager of France. With a background in senior positions at Ezakus, Consumer Zoom and Catalina Marketing, Olivier Galichère is well suited for the spot.
