Performance Marketing Insights: Europe will be returning to Amsterdam this summer and on hand to shape its forward-thinking conference agenda is a new-look Advisory Board.
A grand total of ten performance marketing experts make up the panel who will be assisting PerformanceIN with the creation of its programme, which will look to provide plenty of food for thought for the results-driven marketers in attendance.
Each Board member will put their expertise and contact lists to good use by helping to source the best speakers and subjects across the land. With a focus as fast evolving as performance marketing, being able to call upon the thoughts of experts ‘on the ground’ for the event’s eighth outing is more crucial than ever.
In no particular order, let’s introduce you to the Board:
Aleyda Solis - International SEO consultant & Founder, Orainti
Aleyda is the founder of Orainti, an international mobile and technical SEO consultancy that helps businesses of all sizes grow their organic search visibility across Asia, North & South America and – most importantly – Europe.
We can vouch for her being a solid follow on Twitter, too, if you’re partial to a good digital marketing blog.
Stephanie Emmanouel - General Manager, Somo
Next up is Stephanie: a true champion of the Performance Marketing Insights series. We’ll explain…
Those who witnessed the very first ‘programmatic balloon debate’ at PMI: London last year will have seen Somo’s general manager fend off competition from three other presenters – representing Ve Interactive, Tubemogul and London Evening Standard respectively – on her way to crowning mobile as the future of automated ad buying.
Moving away from her competitive side, Stephanie has plenty of other strings to her bow. She helped set up Google’s operation in Greece and held the position of VP of Sales at Out There media prior to joining Somo: the mobile-first agency with operations in the UK and US.
Bill Swanson – VP EMEA, Pubmatic
Moderating the aforementioned balloon debate was Bill Swanson, who also joins the PMI: Europe Advisory Board.
Bill previously served as managing director for The Independent’s digital business before his current role, which sees him operating as VP for the EMEA region at programmatic ad platform PubMatic.
It’s here that Bill is responsible for growing the firm’s portfolio of premium publishers and media-buying partners after transitioning from roles as director of publisher development and country manager for UK.
Rick Parada - Managing Director, 55Haitao.com
For insight into how to crack China, a market which generated over 40% of the world’s retail ecommerce sales last year, a sit down with Rick Parada might be a good place to start.
As managing director at 55Haitao.com, Rick has helped crowds of Chinese consumers save money when purchasing via US stores through its cashback offering. His expertise were put to good use in a Boot Camp session at PMI: London 2015, covering China’s love for cross-border transactions.
Chris Bishop - Founder, 7thingsmedia
With so much ground to cover off, there is a huge need for versatility on the Board. Being the founder of an agency offering services on affiliate, display, PPC and social media marketing as well as SEO and digital consultancy, Chris Bishop of 7thingsmedia is well-placed to advise on a range of performance marketing topics.
Chris’s agency boasts clients across a breadth of sectors. But with current brands including NET-A-PORTER, Grazia and Ted Baker, it’s built up a strong head of steam in the fashion sector. Chris can also count upon progress in this space: himself being named in Vogue.com’s ‘100 Most Influential People in Fashion’.
Ben Sutherland - Chief Performance Officer, iProspect
One of Media Week’s ‘30 Under 30’ in 2005, Ben joined the iProspect executive team in January 2015 following roles at Omnicom creative agency RAPP, WPP’s Mindshare Worldwide and a stint as managing partner at Dentsu Aegis Network’s Vizeum.
Ben’s 15 years in the industry have been spent mainly in helping brands make the use out of data, which makes him a crucial addition to this year’s Board.
Nick Reid - Managing Director, TubeMogul
With programmatic being the word on every marketer’s lips, it was vital we recruited some serious minds in this department. It’s therefore handy that Nick Reid, the managing director of TubeMogul – a provider of programmatic advertising solutions – will be helping us satisfy the thirst for automated ad-based sessions when July comes around.
From his stints as head of sales for MySpace (he was one of the site’s first 10 employees this side of the US) to his early beginnings at DoubleClick, when it was just an ad sales division, Nick has seen plenty of evolution in the way ads are traded, and we’re delighted to have him on board.
James Maley - Enterprise Director, Yieldify
On hand to bolster PMI’s affiliate content is James Maley, enterprise director at Yieldify – the marketing technology group that is riding high off the back of a hugely productive 2015.
Performance marketing pros may have ran into James during his five years at Tradedoubler and recent stint at Hilton Worldwide Hotels, where operated as the hotel chain’s senior international marketing manager. Followers of PerformanceIN may also recognise Maley from his contributions to PerformanceIN, namely to the ‘Travel Supplement’ and our guide to ‘European Performance Marketing in 2015’.
Lauren Forbes - Global Digital Partnerships Manager, JustEat
JustEat has been going from strength to strength in Europe and it’s thanks to people like Lauren, the group’s global digital partnerships manager, that its online presence is so strong.
Roles at Commission Junction and Navigate Digital have prepped Lauren for her current role, where she manages the online takeaway service’s affiliate programme and direct partnerships.
Marianne Glon-Villeneuve - Digital Marketing Manager, POPSUGAR
Few can question the credentials of Marianne Glon-Villeneuve: who as manager of digital marketing for the POPSUGAR is working closely with ShopStyle, which stands tall as one of the most talked about publishers in Europe.
Marianne has a wealth of knowledge in the UK, German and French markets, where she manages cross-channel activity for the group. She has held similar roles at Avis Budget Group and Wyndam Hotel Group, holding the titles of online marketing manager and online marketing specialist respectively.
