Movers & Shakers: October 2015

The hotlist of movers and shakers this October.

Movers & Shakers returns again to roll out the performance marketing career shifts that fell on our radar, throughout the month of October.

We start with e-commerce conversion specialist, Yieldify, which took on a new chief technical officer in former Google senior product manager, Richard Sharp, alongside Andrew Sadler, who joined as head of engineering.

It was a busy month for agile marketing software company Kenshoo, who promoted Russ Finks to managing director of Americas from the post of global sales account director and vice president of North American agencies.

But Kenshoo also said goodbye to veteran Ryan Booth, who served as senior director of global agency strategy. Booth joins paid search and social marketing agency Chacka Marketing as chief operating officer.

Ending a long service at Matomy Media Group, Assaf Suprasky - former vice president of the ad tech company’s mobile division - took the role of CEO at programmatic ad company myThings. Suprasky replaced founder Benny Arbel, who steps into the role of executive director.

Video ad platform Videology has appointed Ryan Afshar as its new VP and media director to fulfil the role of leading business development in Europe. Afshar’s steps away from Affable Digital, where he was director, having co-founded the company.

Media agency Mindshare has taken on Amy Keans - formerly head of future at Havas Media - as its regional director of strategy for the APAC region. Kean will initially be based in London, but will be moving to Singapore this month.

Digital performance agency iProspect has announced the hiring Lee Thomas head of its Create team, which has a focus on performance-based content. Thomas, who leaves a position at Havas helia, will report to iProspect’s chief performance officer, Ben Sutherland.

Moving away from a background in OOH advertising and a curriculum vitae boasting JCDecaux, Absolute Radio and Microsoft Advertising, Paul Carolan joined mobile brand advertising group Widespace in the role of UK commercial director.

Worthy mentions

Laurie Walton has joined conversion assist technology company Smarter Click, having left her previous post as senior manager of client development at content marketing company NewsCred.

Formerly of Affiliate Window, Katy Hughes will join Acquire, as the affiliate management business’s first account director, and finally, CJ Affiliate by Conversant has welcomed on United Digital Group’s former UK director, Jules Bazley, as director of business development.
