In the plush surroundings of Covent Garden’s Grand Connaught Rooms, tag management firm Tealium brought unified marketing experts together for the return of its ‘Digital Velocity’ event.
Taking place on June 11, this year’s edition saw nearly 300 attendees flock to see the company’s annual presentation of insights from the world of tag management and real-time marketing, with the crowd thought to be the biggest in its history.
Tealium CEO Jeff Lunsford kicked off a day’s worth of expert-led content with a brief introduction and welcome, subsequently passing the baton to TrendMicro’s Jen Brown and TomTom’s Pim Verhoog for sessions on lead generation and data collection respectively.
Other speakers included TUI Germany senior data analyst Andreas Bahr, Donky commercial director Nick Podmore and SapientNitro global lead for performance analytics Simon James, who provided the ramp up to closing sessions from Tealium’s very own Mike Anderson (co-founder and CTO) and Jay Calavas (chief evangelist).
The final three hours of the day were reserved for Tealium University – a training centre designed to allay tag management and unified marketing best practices through a series of interactive formats.
Speaking to PerformanceIN following the event, Richard Wright, senior marketing manager at Tealium, said: “Digital Velocity Europe returned to London for the third year running and was even bigger and better than 2014.
“The day offered a wealth of insight, education and success stories, as well as discussions around innovation in tag management and real-time unified marketing.”
