Performance Marketing group crobo has opened a new office in China as part of the company’s efforts to increase its international expansion.

The Berlin-based outfit, which uses various online marketing channels to drive ideal users to the free-to-play mobile and online games market, will be opening its support branch in the city of Guangzhou.

Game publishers profit as customers of crobo via a vast portfolio of media and distribution partners that offer varied channels to direct users to games. With over 1,200 international campaigns, crobo is a leading platform in games performance marketing for mobile and browser.

Earlier this year the company received  €4.25 million from specialist technology lender BOOST&Co and opened its first US office in San Francisco.

Eastern expansion

Matthias Lesch, co-founder and CEO of crobo, states that the new development is just the start of the company’s eastern expansion.

“Following San Francisco, our new presence in Asia is another key element of our roadmap for 2014. Performance marketing for free-to-play game titles is an international business,” he said.

“We are responding to developments in the games market, and we see enormous potential in the Chinese sector which we want to tap further with a targeted drive to deepen cooperation and forge new partnerships.

Crobo says it has already established a presence with Chinese PC and mobile publishers, with companies including R2Games, Youzu and Changeyou using its services.
