Tune, the owner of companies including HasOffers, MobileAppTracking and MobileDevHQ, has announced the opening of an office in Berlin.

Former MySpace and Fox executive Julian Schroll has been drafted into the director of business development for Central Europe role. He will report directly to Tube chief revenue officer Ralf Hirt, who has strong local market knowhow.

“Being originally from Germany, I’m personally proud to open our first continental European office in Berlin, one of the centers of mobile innovation,” noted Hirt.

“I believe in Julian Schroll we’ve added a true expert with a strong background in both technology and marketing to the 30+ and growing EMEA team.”

Central Europe expansion

Germany is far from Tune’s only area of focus for Central Europe. The company was also able to recruit Cragg Nilson to focus on Nordic region and Leon Kosovsky to work in the Russian and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) market.

Having just completed the acquisition of MobileDevHQ, Tune says it has doubled its footprint in under a year, growing the firm’s headcount to more than 215 employees. The team is spread across seven worldwide locations including New York City, Seoul and San Francisco.

The Berlin office will join Tune’s existing London and Tel Aviv operations in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, which are led by Shakeel Mughal and Aryeh Altshul respectively.

Until recently Tune was known as HasOffers. However, in what was likely an effort to avoid the confusion associated with having a product and company of the same name, it decided to undergo a rebrand – resulting in HasOffers the platform keeping its title.
