German games performance marketing platform Crobo has announced that its first stateside office will be situated in San Francisco.

Crobo has hired Michael Duning as senior sales executive for America. Duning has a number of years of management-level experience and was most recently the account executive in charge of customer acquisition at NextPoint.

This North American office is just one step on Crobo’s 2014 road map, according to co founder and CEO Matthias Lesch who also revealed that it was not just Duning’s experience that the company was after.

“For the start we have found a team that not only is familiar with crobo’s processes and values, but also comes equipped with Michael Duning’s extensive network of Bay Area contacts.”

Karsten Bubinger is set to join Duning as head of operations US, having previously been head of mobile advertiser management at Crobo’s Berlin headquarters. Both men will be responsible for coordinating the San Francisco site’s setup.

Much of Crobo’s recent €4.25 million of investment will be used to open this and other global offices with a strategy already in place to have a team of 10 people in San Francisco by the middle of 2015.
