The Performance Marketing Awards are under a month away and, ahead of the most glamorous night in the industry’s calendar, this year’s host has been unveiled as seasoned comedian, actor and writer Hal Cruttenden.

Hal’s recent television appearances include Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. His first sitcom, ‘Hal’ will begin broadcasting on Radio 4 later this year.

Cruttenden is the latest in a long line of top British comedians who have hosted the Awards, following the likes of Josh Widdicombe, Rufus Hound and Kevin Bridges, and is sure to make it a night to remember.

Alongside Hal, there will be a 1920s twist to this year’s Awards – the 20s was the decade in which fashion entered the modern era and PerformanceIN are expecting to see some fine attire on display. Ellen paved the way with her Oscars selfie, so there promises to be some shameless self-promotion from the industry’s best-dressed on the night!

Awards co-sponsor Webgains will be holding a competition on the night, awarding one lucky winner a journey for two on the Orient Express with dinner from Michelin-starred chef, Tom Kerridge. Without giving too much away, be sure to brush up on your 20s trivia – you’ll need to know your Al Pacino from your Al Capone; your Flipper from your Flapper.

At time of writing the voting deadline for Industry Choice of Partner and Hotshot Rising Star categories is approaching. There have already been an unprecedented number of votes and you have until midnight on Tuesday 8 April to have your say on whose name should be on each award come April 29.

There are a limited number of tables available if you want to take your position amongst the industry’s elite, on a night to recognise and reward truly outstanding performance marketing. Book online or email sales@performancein.com to guarantee your seat at the Performance Marketing Awards 2014.
