It’s not all about London when it comes to networking across the performance marketing industry, as Bristol proved last week.

A hoard of energetic performance marketing professionals met at Bristol’s Beer Emporium on Thursday to relax, mingle and enjoy a craft beer – or two.

The event, held in the underground, stone-walled Grade II listed building, was organised by Bristol-founded Vouchercloud.

Of course, team PerformanceIN were on the scene and other attendees hailed from the likes of Commission Junction, Sift Media and IntelligentPPC.

Head multichannel strategist at Vouchercloud, Mark Andres, said it was a great turn out for the first affiliate meet up in Bristol. He said the company is now looking to make the event a regular occasion, with the next one expected to take place on May 29.

“Everyone who attended gave really positive feedback and it definitely shows there’s an appetite for more affiliate related events outside of London,” Andres said.

“There are quite a few affiliate meet ups in London, but this offers the chance for anyone involved in the affiliate industry outside of London to meet up – and also for those who are based in London it’s a great excuse to get out of the office for a social catch up in wonderful Bristol.”

Attendee roles varied, from managing director, head of advertiser development and head of affiliates, to partnerships director, PPC consultant and many more.

It was a well-attended affair that many are hoping will become a regular event to help Bristol’s blossoming performance marketing scene make its mark on the industry.
