Engaging with consumers is not the only social networking objective for brands. Building a sense of community among the fan base of a Facebook page should be a priority too.

Not all brands are successful in this mission though. Some industries are far better at growing communication between consumers than others and social media monitoring company, Socialbakers, has released research into which sector is best.

Fashion, auto and e-commerce industries are said to have the strongest communities in terms of total interactions. Socialbakers says the same is true when taking into account Likes and comments on Facebook pages.
