The team behind popular industry summit Youth Marketing Strategy have launched a new independent brand, Voxburner.

Voxburner has been born out of the work the The Beans Group – owners of the UK’s biggest student website studentbeans.com – started in 2012 with research reports, insights into the 16-24 market and other industry events.

The new company will report on the new generation and focus on youth consumer insight that helps brands and agencies shape strategy, product development and communications.

Voxburner has a dedicated team of editorial, research and development staff working on its products and is led by Head of Insight, Luke Mitchell, who ran youth marketing consultancy Reach Students for ten years before joining.

Gerard Ward, previously of Time Out and trendwatching.com has joined the Voxburner team as Editor and Simon Eder will head up the events in his role as Commercial Director. Simon has more than 8 years experience in running and leading conferences and exhibitions across the globe, before he joined The Beans Group as Commercial Director in 2012

Luke Mitchell, Head of Insight at Voxburner, says, “It was clear from the success of the groundwork of The Beans Group’s research and the popularity of events that brands and agencies had an appetite for a dynamic new service. We’re committed to delivering daily website insights, monthly specialist reports backed by fresh research and a schedule of unique events. The name Voxburner comes from opinion and voice – ‘Vox’ – and the idea of ‘burning’ data to create a digestible insights. The team is excited to be launching officially after building up content over the past few months.”

Next year, Youth Marketing Strategy will run in London for a fourth year and in New York for the first time, whilst new events Youth 100: Campaigns and the Youth Marketing Awards are also planned in London.

Voxburner have access to an engaged group of young people – the Voxburner Academy – who regularly give their views on topics, from their use of Snapchat to their grocery shopping habits. These 16-24 opinion-formers take part in focus groups and panel discussions at events.
