European performance marketing event, Performance Marketing Insights: Europe, has announced that the annual conference’s next stop, taking place in 2014, will be held in the German capital city of Berlin.

Once famed for the separation of east and west, Germany is now considered to be at the forefront of the Eurozone’s financial recovery. Fresh and forward-thinking, Berlin, has been doing its part to reimagine the country’s industry. The city is seen as a true pioneer for the country, using gentrification to transform it into the continent’s startup capital.

Being Europe’s media and technology incubator has led the city to unleash firms such as Madvertise and SponsorPay on an international audience, both have found real success on the global playing field having hailed from humble Berlin beginnings.

Performance’s German Roots

Performance Marketing Insights: Europe is hoping to give upcoming companies such as these a platform to really show how their products can grow the performance industry, which has roots throughout Germany.

It is the conference’s first event in Berlin after a previous show in Munich, but Sarah Parsonage, managing director of PerformanceIN, believes Berlin is the kind of shop window for innovation that other countries can easily learn from.

“By choosing Berlin as the host city for next year’s Performance Marketing Insights: Europe, we’re hoping some of the city’s ideals will rub off on the rest of the industry’s thriving community,” Parsonage said. “We expect the event to really push performance marketing on to something truly remarkable.”

Feature-packed Days

Event organisers have said that all the usual event features such as networking parties, exhibition hall and multi-track agenda will be present during the two-day event. It will be open to brands, publishers, advertisers, networks and tech providers.

Performance Marketing Insights: Europe will take place June 24-25 at the Estrel Hotel, which is said to have good transport links via the Sonnenallee S-Bahn in addition to Berlin’s Schönefeld Airport and from the upcoming Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

This year’s European performance marketing event took place in Amsterdam and more than 800 eager professionals jetted in from across the globe to attend.
