Big data specialist, Qubit, has appointed Seamus Whittingham as its vice president of commercial operations. He joins from ChannelAdvisor where he was EMEA managing director where he had experience in marketing, client management and professional services.

Whittingham starts at a time which the company is calling its ‘new growth phase’. He will be responsible for the Qubit’s operational strategy as well as building and running the commercial teams.

One year after ValueClick sold Search123, the new pay-per-click search engine has recruited Darren Newmark into the senior account manager position. Newmark has recently held brief stints at SaleCycle and Cherry London.

New VP at MassiveImpact

Eyal Zohar is now at mobile ad tech company, MassiveImpact, with the vice president of product management job title. His 15 years of marketing experience features spells at Mobixell and Converse.

MassiveImpact’s new publisher monetisation system and other future technology developments will now be Zohar’s area of focus. Chief executive officer, Sephi Shapira, will be his direct line manager.

Ex-Tradedoubler account manager, Ben Fisher, has moved to Group M-owned agency umbrella, Maxus, where he takes on the role of affiliate and aggregator manager. Fisher hops across from ideas and innovation company, The Sandpit.

Publisher development manager, Tom Rickey, also from Tradedoubler, will be swapping affiliate marketing for lead generation when he moves over to London-based Convertr Media as client strategist.

Internal Network Promotion

Having been at performance marketing network Affiliate Window for five years, Jeannine-Veronique Martel was rewarded with the title of senior account manager. Martel also edits lifestyle blog, Large and Laughing.

Performance marketing agency, Geneva, has secured Tom Fotheringham as its new marketing director. Working on getting the Newcastle and London agency into the UK’s top 50 is one of Fotheringham’s main aims.

Existem’s own Sarah Pickthall has just been handed the title of senior events manager. Since early-2010 she has been helping to put together the a4uexpo series of conferences, which has recently rebranded to Performance Marketing Insights.
