Champagne and iced beers were on the agenda last night – as a4uexpo Europe revellers got stuck into the evening’s networking opportunities.

Whether hanging out at gold sponsor, VIP Online Media’s Champagne bar, complete with an octopus in a fish tank, bopping downstairs under Jimmy Woo’s illuminated ceiling, or popping corks with Ve Interactive – drinks and conversation were flowing after day one.

Following a hardcore day of learning, key takeaways and many a meeting, more than 800 attendees began unwinding from about 6pm yesterday with drinks in the exhibition hall – sponsored by a4uexpo bronze sponsor Linkdex Publisher Discovery.

Head of Lindex, Michael Brandy, said the exhibition hall drinks reception, at the the prestigious Hotel Okura, provided the ideal opportunity to kick-back and mingle with attendees.

“The drinks reception was really busy and the speed-networking event going on at the same time was a huge benefit as it was even busier,” Brandy said.

“Both the Hotel Okura and the evening networking location were both great venues.”

Doors later swung open to the Ve Interactive official networking party, at exclusive downtown club Jimmy Woo – which also proved a big hit.

The two-floored venue was packed with a4uexpo attendees who enjoyed soaking up the free bar and relaxing after a full-on day of all things performance marketing.

Chief executive officer of Ve Interactive, David J.Brown, said: “The networking party at a4uexpo Europe in Amsterdam was a fun and glamorous way to ‘woo’ our guests, and round off an insightful and enjoyable first day.”
