Affiliate management professional Geno Prussakov’s conference has landed in London.

Affiliate Management Days (AMDays), an event dedicated specifically to the affiliate management remit, made its European debut today.

The two-day conference, held at Chelsea Football Club, Stamford Bridge, kicked off this morning with a keynote session on ‘Leveraging Voucher and Cashback Publishers – the New Rules of Engagement’. The session was delivered by triple hat wearing entrepreneur, vouchercloud global product director, and PerformanceIN.com founder, Matthew Wood.

In the afternoon, Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Clare O’Brien delved ‘behind the numbers’ of the IAB and PwC survey and a panel session was held on ‘What Affiliates Actually Want & What You Can Forget’.

Hot Topics & Networking Ahead

When questioned about the reaction to AMDays London so far, Prussakov said he would sum up day one of two in three words – focus, attribution, and warmness.

“The first one stands for the laser focus (on all things affiliate programme management) the show has had, and will carry on having tomorrow as well,” Prussakov begins.

“The second one stands for the topic that has come up in every single presentation today (obviously a hot topic not to ignore). Finally, regardless of it being fairly chilly for this time of the year in London, we are having some amazingly warm networking inside (and the evening reception hasn’t even started yet). Overall, I believe we’re off to a great start in Europe.”

From the US to UK

Other speakers today included business development and account manager from Freemax Media; Suzanna Chaplin, founder and chief analytics officer at Quru Oy; Steve Jackson, account director at Commission Junction; John Coulson, online customer acquisition manager at Argos; Andrew Firmin – and more.

Prior to the London launch, the 2012- launched AMDays has taken place in the US three times; Fort Lauderdale once and San Francisco twice.

‘It’s fantastic to see AMDays launch its inaugural event in Europe. Geno has programmed a fantastic conference and attracted a great mix of delegates,” Wood said.

“I can already foresee a great deal of proactive and industry enhancing conversations over the next two days.”

Tomorrow’s speakers include account director and client strategist at Affiliate Window; Simon Hofmeister, head of mobile at Tradedoubler; Neil Ranatunga, co-founder and chief executive officer at RingRevenue; Jason Spievak – among others.

Prussakov, who has also published books on affiliate marketing, said the aim of the event is to provide valuable insight into how other online retailers are successfully implementing and managing their affiliate programmes.
